The kids loved the friendly atmosphere, especially the game area with a pool table! We enjoyed visiting the beautiful parks nearby and exploring museums in Leiden. The breakfast had some tasty options that fueled our busy days out with our four children.

My wife says that the noise from nearby bars was bothersome.

The beds were super comfy! Although breakfast was kinda mediocre and the bathroom could’ve been cleaner. It's also a bit noisy outside at times. 😅

The room had a safe and the furnishings were adequate for a budget stay. I appreciated the supply of salmiac lollies and peppermints in reception. it's a nice little touch that made my stay a bit more enjoyable.

The cleaning could definitely improve. in one room, there was a dirty shelf in the bathroom that made using the sink uncomfortable. I found the breakfast to be lacking in options, not quite matching the price I paid for my stay. When I checked in, there was confusion about charges, including an unrequested amount for breakfast, which was later corrected but added unnecessary stress to the experience.

after staying in the city before, i found my time at the bastion to be surprisingly good. the room felt clean and the bed comfy. Parking was super convenient just outside. the staff's friendliness really made my short stay enjoyable.

It was just an excellent fit for a hurried visit in Leiden with value for price. The staff was really friendly, making me feel welcome right away. Bring your own toiletries, the provided ones were not enough for a comfortable stay.

The breakfast was above average, featuring a solid continental buffet, and I appreciated the well-cleaned room. the location may not be ideal for those who want to be close to the vibrant center of Leiden.

It was perfect to unwind by the pool nearby after a long day of travel. The lady at the check-in was exceptional, noticing my Mum’s needs right away and upgraded us to a more accessible room which made everything easier! !

It wasn’t exactly inexpensive, but it was adequate for what we needed.

Convenient car parking right outside and a very comfy bed were highlights of my stay. The friendly staff added to the welcoming atmosphere, with particular mention of Darren for his helpfulness and humor. noise from nearby bars could be disruptive, especially on weekends, and accessing public transport to the city center was less straightforward than anticipated, necessitating expensive taxi rides.
